UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- The Big Ten Conference plans to announce its divisional alignment tonight at 7.
Two six-team divisions will begin play in 2011, when Nebraska becomes the 12th member.
ESPN, citing multiple sources, reports that the divisions will be broken down as follows:
Penn State, Ohio State, Wisconsin, Purdue, Indiana and Illinois.
Michigan, Nebraska, Iowa, Michigan State, Northwestern and Minnesota.
ESPN also is reporting that there will be a consistent crossover game each year to preserve a number of traditional rivalries.
