Penn State opens with 3 wins; continues streak

The defending national champion Penn State women's volleyball team opened the season with three consecutive victories to extend its winning streak to 105. The Nittany Lions have won three national titles in a row and have not lost since September 2007. Penn State defeated Campbell in a three-set sweep Saturday at the Carolina Classic tournament in Chapel Hill, N.C. The Nittany Lions also beat Villanova and North Carolina in three-set sweeps at the tournament. Senior Blair Brown was named the Carolina Classic MVP. She had a career-best 19 kills on .679 hitting against Campbell.
