The Robert Morris men's team will play at 8 a.m. Nov. 16 at Kent State as part of ESPN's 24-hour College Hoops Tip-Off Marathon, the network announced. The game will be broadcast live on ESPN.
Robert Morris coach Andy Toole said the game will give his players a chance to showcase their talents to the millions who usually wake up to "SportsCenter."
The teams had a contract to play a game this season, and Kent State officials contacted Toole this spring about the possibility of playing at 8 a.m. or 6 a.m. as part of the ESPN special. Toole said he could do 8 a.m., but 6 a.m. was just too early.
Penn State will play St. Joseph's as part of the ESPN's marathon, though that game will only be broadcast online. A start time is to be determined.
Toole also confirmed the hiring of the Colonials' third assistant coach.
Mike Byrnes, 44, joins the Colonials after 16 seasons as a prep school coach at Hargrave Military Academy and Winchendon School.
