Where to go ... Keystone State Park
Sunday, August 15, 2010

What to do: Located about 35 miles east of Pittsburgh, off Rte. 22, Keystone State Park was built as part of a wise plan to put a park within an easy drive of every Pennsylvanian. At the center of the 1,200-acre park is a 78-acre lake suitable for fishing, swimming at a sand beach (no lifeguard) and boating from a public launch. In addition to 100 tents and trailer camping sites, the park provides yurts and modern cabins, miles of hiking trails and opportunities for wildlife watching and plant spotting.
