In the opening round of the WNIT, Duquesne's season came to an end with a 79-72 loss at Northwestern.

The Dukes (20-12)were led by guard Vanessa Abel who scored 26 points.

Guard Beth Marshall 25 poitns for Northwestern (17-14) which will face St. Bonaventure in the second round.
