Man injured in Westmoreland County industrial accident
Wednesday, March 17, 2010

A worker was injured when pieces of metal fell on him at a plant in Westmoreland County.

The victim was flown to a Pittsburgh hospital after the accident at the Multi-Metals Co. in Salem Township.

The man was picking up a plate, which fell partially onto his leg, said Multi-Metals Co. spokesman Rick Florek. The man suffered no broken bones, Mr. Florek said, but was taken for further examination.

"They just took him to the hospital for precaution," Mr. Florek said.
