A man walking along state Route 764 was struck and killed by a motorist Tuesday.

Samuel Luke, 61, of Altoona was struck at 8:50 a.m. in Antis Township by a car driven by Robert Ferguson, 32, of Houtzdale, according to state police.

Mr. Luke was pronounced dead at the scene.

State police are investigating.
