Where to go ... Fern Hollow Nature Center
Sunday, March 07, 2010

What to do: The Nature Center in Sewickley is a place where children and adults can learn to understand and appreciate our natural environment. The indoor assembly area accommodates 40 people and includes a catering kitchen and restrooms, with ample parking nearby. On a nearby plateau visitors camp, play field games, fly kites or just look up at the stars. A sloping field is perfect for sledding. Park rangers lead Sunday nature walks (1:30 p.m.) on paths ideal for slow strolls, cross-country skiing, birding and nature explorations. Nearby are Sewickley Heights Borough Park and Fern Hollow and Little Sewickley creeks.
