Recently: White has 12 points in the last four games, all wins for the Indians.
Check this out: Entering this week, White has 24 goals and 22 assists this season, leading Peters Township, the Post-Gazette's third-ranked Class AA hockey team, to a 12-2-3 record. A senior, White played the past two seasons in the United States Hockey league, the best junior league in the country, but returned to school to be with his friends and family.
What is the biggest adjustment about moving back to high school hockey? I think the biggest adjustment is probably the speed of the game. It's a little different. In the USHL, you have to make your decisions a lot quicker. In high school, you have a little more time.
Who is your role model in your personal life? I'd say my parents. They do everything for me -- they drive me to games, they hike all over the country and help me out. Hopefully one day I can be as good a parent as they've been to me.
Who is your favorite NHL player? Sidney Crosby definitely, being here in Pittsburgh. He's a superstar who works really hard. That's pretty uncommon where your best player is your hardest worker.
Favorite musician or group? My favorite group is the Benjy Davis Project. It's country. I think it's a little slow paced, which I like.
Besides hockey, what Winter Olympic sport would you like to do? Downhill skiing. I used to ski quite a bit. I think those guys are pretty talented -- especially the slalom -- to go in and out at such a high speed.
People would be surprised to know that ... I sleep with my eyes open.

Last week: Vrooman won two gold medals at the Midwestern Athletic Conference swimming and diving championships.
Check this out: Vrooman, a senior, is a two-time WPIAL and PIAA champion in the 200- and 500-meter freestyles. Because Ambridge does not have a swimming team, Vrooman competes for the Pine-Richland Aquatics Club and also swims independently at the WPIAL championships. She has accepted a scholarship to Indiana University.
What do you have left to accomplish at the high school level? I know there was an athlete whose name was Jan Ujevich [Center]. She was one of the best swimmers to come out of Beaver County. She won six WPIAL and PIAA titles. It would be pretty cool to match what she did.
What time do you practice? In the morning usually at 5:20 and then after school at either 3 p.m. or 6 p.m.
When do you find time to sleep? I rely on Saturday morning to nap after practice. I try to go to bed as early as I can.
Is eventually qualifying for the Olympics a major goal? The thought is always there. I want to see how well I do in college next year and then we'll see what happens. I'm just focusing on doing well in college the next four years.
What has Michael Phelps' success meant to swimming? I think it's brought a lot of attention to the sport. Admittedly, it's not that fun to watch on TV, but I think he's made people realize that it is a popular sport.
What's your favorite flavor of ice cream? If I go to Brusters I like chocolate with cookie dough. I like anything with cookie dough.
Will you be watching the Winter Olympics? Yeah. I don't understand a lot of [the events], but I like ice skating and snowboarding.
Did you play any other sports growing up? When I was really young, I played soccer and did gymnastics and dance. I started swimming at age 8, and that's when I stopped everything else.
