The Steelers wore down the Cincinnati Bengals last night for a 27-10 victory at Heinz Field.
Bengals coach Marvin Lewis made a strange decision when, trailing by 13 points, he opted for a 26-yard Shayne Graham field goal on fourth down at the Steelers eight. That brought Cincinnati to within 10 points with 6:47 to go.
The Steelers then drove 73 yards on 11 plays, a drive that ended when quarterback Ben Roethlisberger scrambled up the middle on third down for an 8-yard touchdown with 2:15 left in the game.
The Steelers had pulled to a 20-7 lead after three quarters. The Steelers scored 20 straight points after the Bengals led 7-0 in the first quarter, 10 of those in the third quarter.
Jeff Reed kicked a 38-yard field goal, his second of the game, and Gary Russell ran two yards for his first NFL touchdown.
The Steelers held a 10-7 lead at halftime. The Steelers tied it 7-7 with 10:16 left in the second quarter on Roethlisberger's 3-yard pass to Miller, only his second touchdown pass in the last five games. They then took the lead for the first time with 1:52 to go in the half on Jeff Reed's 37-yard field goal.
