Energy Swing Windows, a replacement window and door company in Murrysville, will receive a Torch Award from the Better Business Bureau.
The awards go to businesses that are committed to providing top-flight service to customers and perform ethically.
Energy Swing won in the Small Business Category.
The BBB will present the award at 2 p.m. at the Murrysville facility.
Philip Terman, an award-winning poet, will read at 7 tonight in the coffee house on the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg campus.
Two UPG writing majors, seniors Mary Stolarik and Daniel Waajid, will open for him.
The event is part of the campus' monthly Written/Spoken series and is free. A reception and book signing will follow.
The Salvation Army of Greensburg will kick off its annual Red Kettle campaign at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Courthouse Square.
Featured will be The World's Largest Kettle, standing more than 8 feet high, weighing several thousand pounds.
