West Virginia University is hiring an executive search firm to help with its presidential search.

The university's presidential search committee yesterday announced the selection of Greenwood/Asher & Associates of Miramar Beach, Fla., one of 11 firms nationwide that submitted proposals.

The search committee has a deadline of Dec. 15 for receiving nominations and applications for the presidency. Some applications already have been received.

"There is a great deal of enthusiasm about and interest in the presidency of WVU," said Gene Budig, committee chairman.
