Dollars from Pennsylvania's general fund that pay for wildlife management.

State-levied taxes, federal grants and other sources finance conservation land acquisition, environmental projects, a federal waterfowl program and part of Pennsylvania's state park system. But the management of all of the state's wildlife -- hunted and nonhunted species -- is paid for solely through the sale of hunting and fishing licenses, excise taxes on hunting and fishing gear (but not other outdoors-related products) and gas, oil and timbering leases on State Game Lands.
